Shawn Healey | Dragon KOI Project Day 9 of 365: TO INSPIRE
in·spire
inˈspī(ə)r/
verb
1. fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.
"his passion for romantic literature inspired him to begin writing"
2. breathe in (air); inhale.
Inspiration. There are times when we need it, and times when it is coming out of every pore in our body. If you could bottle it you'd be rich. When you see someone who has it, you know it.
Oddly enough, with a career in the Pilates industry, I've talked about inspiration and expiration... a lot. The challenge is that when you are dealing with daily stress of business, family, money...go down the list... you can and often times do, lose the first definition. I've consulted with MANY business owners who are in this situation. Their inspiration is lost because the list is long and overwhelming. The reason that they started their business was because of the inspiration that they had. To help people, to have a better life, to change the world. It's tough when you lose your inspiration. Usually you just need to focus forward. Remember why you started this path in the first place. Remember also that sometimes passions change, as does what inspires. Find those that inspire you and connect. Get out of the trenches every once in awhile. And when you have the chance, be sure to pay it forward and inspire those around you.
Thank you to those who inspire me... This list is definitely not comprehensive and varying in how you have or do inspire me... Hayley Healey, Ashton Shears, Windsor Healey, Curt Healey, Carla Healey,James Healey, Kristin Healey, Joanna and Thomas McPherson, Alastair Greetham, Greg and Gracie Stevenson, Amy Cady, Heidi DeBrincat, Emilee Gocke Garfield, Trent McEntire, Joseph Quinn,Madeline Black, Jenna Zaffino, Amanda Schlumpberger, Dawn-Marie Chamberlain Ickes,Diana and Michael Hollingshead, Shawna and Grant Korgan, Curty and Brenda Bills Large, Phil and Gina Sholian, Peter and Monica Deluca, Kent Keyser, and many more throughout the Pilates community... just way to many to list.
Until tomorrow...
