The Dragon KOI Project Day 4 of 365: RESOLUTIONS AND GOALS: This is an absolutely jammed backed video by Jay Shetty full of really good stuff (https://www.facebook.com/JayShettyIW/videos/1732658137048644/). He is one of my favorite speakers and is full of wisdom and insight.
Did you make any resolutions this year? Do you do it every year? It's interesting how we use the new beginning of a year to springboard us into motivation. What is it about new beginning and needing to leave the past behind that motivates us? I believe that because of that mind set, we are often doomed to fail with any goal or resolution because it is based on leaving the past behind. Do you see how this is based on an "away from" that I mention in my post yesterday? He mentions Simon Sinek in the video and finding your WHY. I was actually contemplating talking about this today, but I'll save it for another day, because it is critical for any long term success. Simon Sinek's WHY concept is another way of looking at moving toward goals for a purpose rather than being motivated to reach a goal in an effort to stay "away from" a certain place. "I have a weight loss goal because I don't want to be fat" or "I won't eat chocolate or drink wine because I don't want to be unhealthy." When we tell our unconscious mind to NOT do something, what do you think it focuses on? You got it...that thing. Your unconscious mind is obsessed with the exact spot that you are moving away from because of the context that you've positioned the goal or resolution in.
So how do we change the way that we position our goals? We change the way that we think, interpret, perceive and interact. We change our awareness. We connect with things that we aren't connecting with, aren't aware of and miss because our unconscious is full of clutter. This is exactly what I want to explore with you over the next 361 days. Changing the way that you look at the world. Changing the way that you believe in yourself. Meeting people that have made these dramatic changes in the way that they approach the world. Getting rid of anything that is limiting you...beliefs, habits, negative thoughts and energy. My mission is to perpetuate forward thinking in a world with unlimited potential for anyone that is interested. Anyone interested?
Focus Forward...
Until tomorrow...Cheers!
